小山は、近年精力的な活動を続けている期待の若手写真家です。
街から街へ、路地から路地へと緻密なフィールドワークを繰り返し、瞬間と痕跡、ミクロからマクロの世界まで、様々な循環とプロセスの断片を捉え、撮影しています。彼の写真の特徴である「静の中の動」、「動の中の静」はこうした過程を経て、生み出されています。
本展では、今年８月に京都ARTZONEで開催した「THE EXPOSED / the other side」展で発表した作品を中心に、新作を加え、大判プリントと高速スライドショーによるインスタレーションを行います。プリント作品と高速スライドによる展示構成からは、写真の「音像」が聞こえてくるかのようです。（プレスリリースより）
Koyama is a promising young artist who in recent years has been working very actively.
His photography moves from town to town, street to street, exploring fleeting moments and lingering traces both on the minute level and the large-scale. His work is typified by a sense of "movement within silence" and "silence within movement".
This exhibition presents both the works that were shown in his "The Exposed / The Other Side" exhibition at Artzone in Kyoto this August, as well as some new works, large-scale prints and a high-speed slideshow installation. The combination of the printed works and the high-speed slideshow creates a sense of surround-sound photography. (Taken From Pless Release)
