Shooting the view as scanning it. With just one press, the view forward the camera in the direction I move my arm is recorded as an image in the camera. For a few moments, it feels like I am transforming the reality in front of me just into jpg data. In Tokyo where a dry-weather warning was announced everyday, I did the shooting of burned Tamagawa riverside field just as scanning. When to take panorama pictures, you need to pan the camera carefully to make the images attached smoothly. But I did the shooting as fast as possible, almost too fast and closers to "error". The fact that NEX-5 tries to connect the mismatched images attracted me so much.
"WIILDFFIRRRE" was released with 2 books "L" and "R", as a part of the SONY project called "Love zine", which invites the artists to make zines using SONY digital camera NEX-5 and the exhibition will be online.

風景をスキャンするように撮影する。一度シャッターボタンを押すだけで、カメラを動かした方向の世界が画像として取り込まれていく。その数秒間、目の前の現実をデータとして受信しているような感覚になる。記録的な乾燥注意報が続く東京、焦げた匂いが残る多摩川の焼け野原をスキャンするように撮影した。 パノラマ画像はカメラをうまく振らないときれいに繋がらない。だが僕は、エラーになりそうな限界で撮影した、そのズレた世界をNEX-5がなんとか繋ぎ止めようとすることに心惹かれた。
「WIILDFFIRRRE」はSONYのデジタルカメラNEX-5を使ってジンを制作し、SONYのウェブサイトで公開するという 「Love zine」プロジェクトの作品として、「L」と「R」の２冊組みで発表した。
